My Diagnosis - The HARDEST decision of my life

On Sept 27th I was sitting in my office up to my ears in paperwork when a bright light appeared in my office as the phone rang.  A warm feeling came over me as I answered the phone.

-  "Husky Energy, Beige Speaking".
-  "Beige, its Dr. Hicks' office calling, you need to come in immediatly, we have an opening tommorrow for you".

For those of you that do not know me, I am a very spiritual person, I beleive in the lord, spirits, angels and loved ones that have passed surrounding you in times when you need them.

That light that I seen in my office that day visited me often in the next three days, not for long but a shooting of light throughout the day to let me know they were there.

The next day I went in to see Dr. Hicks - my family doctor.  This visit was everything I had been expecting.  Dr. Hicks walked into the room and said "Oh, you are here by yourself, I thought you would bring someone with you."   - That is about all I remember of our talk that day.

The next day was my follow up with Dr. Kanashiro, my mom, papa, dave and I all walked in together and she was very suprised to see me and all of my family there ready to take on the information, I informed her that I knew what the results were and I was interested in hearing how we were gonna kick this in the a$$.

Meeting Dr. Kanashiro

On September 1st I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Kanashiro at the Breast Health Clinic.  This day was filled with many emotions from sadness to hope and beyong.  Dr. Kanashiro brought in her portable ultrasound machine to take a better look herself.  Upon investigations she decided to drain the cyst to relieve pressure and send the fluids in for testing.  The fluid was a merky dark brown and at that moment I knew...something was wrong, this was not normal.

My follow up with Dr. Kanashiro was on September 13th and I attended the Breast Health Clinic once again to get the results of the fluid they aspirated.  On this visit it was discovered that the "thick walled cyst" had grown in size since being aspirated and Dr. Kanashiro felt it was a good idea to remove it for further testing.  I received localaized freezing and they began the lumpectomy.  Once they were in they discovered not only one mass but three - all the size of golf balls (2 cm) and one that poped while being removed.  It took everything in me not to look at the masses that had been removed, but coming from a medical profession, I couldnt hold back anymore and turned my help to look at the specimen containers.  That was it for me...everything inside of me that was tellling me everything was fine was gone at that moment!
These masses looked like tumors to me, they were light pink in color, wrinkled and oddly shaped and completely solid.
